Despite the fact that there are a surprising number of Indian-American executives in Silicon Valley, neither Sundar Pichai nor Satya Nadella are among the top 10 highest-paid CEOs in the United States.
According to a report from C-Suite Comp, Palo Alto Networks CEO and chairman Nikesh Arora ranks number 10 on the list of the highest-earning CEOs in the United States. Information examination firm C-Suite Comp delivered its rundown of the most generously compensated Presidents in the US on Monday.
Neither Sundar Pichai Or Satya Nadela Made To The List
Based on two metrics, “total compensation granted” in 2023 and “compensation actually paid,” two lists of the highest-paid CEOs were published.
The Indian-American President of Google, Sundar Pichai, didn’t make it to one or the other rundown. Despite Microsoft’s stellar year thanks to OpenAI, Satya Nadella, his Microsoft counterpart, did not either.
Nikesh Arora Was Included in Both Lists
Nikesh Arora, however, of Palo Alto Networks, was included on both lists. With earnings of $151.4 million, he came in at number four on the list of “Highest earning CEOs in the US by total compensation granted in 2023.” With an annual salary of $266.4 million, Arora rounded out the 10 “Highest earning CEOs in the US by compensation actually paid in 2023.”

Who Is Nikesh Arora?
In 2018, Nikesh Arora took over as Palo Alto Networks’ CEO. His stellar career includes time spent at SoftBank Group and Google.
Arora, 56, was born to an officer in the Indian Air Force and attended Air Force Public School in Delhi for his education. He graduated from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (now IIT-BHU) with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Additionally, he holds a MSc from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University.
