Rain might hamper two Super 8 matches at this ground, except for the India vs Afghanistan match on June 20, which has a 10-20% chance of rain. The T20 World Cup final match on June 29 might also be affected by rain.

Chance of rain at Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia:

Three Super 8 matches will be played at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia, including the India vs Australia match on June 24. Weather conditions look favourable for England’s matches against West Indies and South Africa on June 20 and 21, but the forecast for June 24 is not promising. There is currently a 50% chance of rain in the India vs Australia match.

The England vs Namibia match on June 15 has already been affected by rain, which led to a delay of almost four hours due to the outfield being wet despite no rain. Four Super 8 matches are scheduled to be held at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, with a 20-25% chance of rain in each match.

Chance of rain at Arnos Vale Stadium in Arnos Vale near Kingstown, St Vincent:

The Arnos Vale ground in Kingstown will host two Super 8 matches. While rain has not affected group games at this venue, the weather forecast looks unfavorable for the Super 8 matches. There is a 52% chance of rain for the Australia vs Afghanistan match on June 23. If the match is washed out, it could significantly impact the Super 8 Group 1 standings.

Where are the semi-finals and finals being played?

T20 World Cup 2024

  • Semi-final 1 will be played on Wednesday 26 June 2024 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba in Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Semi-final 2 will be played on Thursday 27 June 2024 at the Guyana National Stadium, Georgetown in Guyana.
  • The final will be played on Saturday 29 June 2024 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados. There will be a reserve day for the semi-final matches and the final.

What is a reserve day?

It is an additional day set aside for the semi-finals and final where the match can continue if the minimum number of overs cannot be completed on the scheduled day due to weather. If a match goes to the reserve day, tickets for the originally scheduled day will remain valid.
