Hero MotoCorp has recently launched the new 125 cc motorcycle Xtreme 125R in the Indian market. Through this bike, the company has tried to offer an affordable product in the premium segment. This is the smallest bike in the Xtreme series. Since its launch, it has received a good response from the customers. We have been driving it for the last few days. Let’s know how good is the Hero Xtreme 125R in terms of design, specification and performance?
Design of Hero Xtreme 125R bike
The Hero Xtreme 125R has been specially designed for young customers. Of course it comes with a 125 cc engine, but its design looks like a big motorcycle. It has been given hunkered-down LED headlamp, muscular fuel tank and sharp shrouds on both sides of the fuel tank. Apart from this, the motorcycle has split seats for a sporty look along with split grab rails, stubby exhaust and rear tire hugger.
Bike Features
- The Xtreme 125R includes projector lens headlamps with LED DRLs. To further enhance the premium appeal, it has been given LED indicators and taillight.
- The special thing is that the motorcycle has 17-inch wheels on both sides and a 120/80 section rear tire, which is the widest in its segment.
Ride Quality
The Xtreme 125R is one of the most agile motorcycles in its segment. The Xtreme 125R is a bike with a lean profile and its curb weight is 133 kg. Talking about riding, it is quite agile and responsive. It is also very easy to turn it on cornering. Its refinement and NVH level are quite good.
Engine and performance
- Some credit for the better riding should also be given to the 125cc engine. The company says that it has been given a completely new powertrain.
- This engine produces 11.4bhp at 8,250rpm and a peak torque of 10.5Nm at 6,000rpm. It has been given disc brakes at the front and rear, which improve braking.
- This bike reaches a speed of 0-60 kmph in just 5.9 seconds and Hero claims a fuel efficiency of 66 km per liter (certified).

We have not driven the Hero Xtreme 125R for long. According to our riding experience, we can say that this bike performs better on difficult turns and narrow roads. From our experience, we can say that if you are looking for a stylish 125cc motorcycle in the market, the Xtreme 125R could be a better option.
