Kawasaki Z900: What’s New in the Latest Model?

Kawasaki, the leading two-wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market, is constantly launching new bikes. In this sequence, the Japanese company Kawasaki has introduced its updated Z900.

Equipped with great design and great features, the company has launched this bike at a price of Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom). There is not much change in this bike as compared to the 2023 model.

  • In the new Kawasaki Z900 you get a liquid-cooled, 948cc, inline-four cylinder engine. This engine generates 125hp of power at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of torque at 7,700rpm.
  • This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slip clutch. The new bike has been designed on a steel trellis frame. Talking about its suspension setup, it gets USD front fork and monoshock rear unit.
  • On the braking front, the new bike has twin 300mm disc controls at the front, while the rear gets a single 250mm disc unit. However, it lacks a bi-directional quickshifter.
  • The new Kawasaki Z900 gets a colourful TFT dashboard. This TFT dash can be connected to your smartphone via the ‘Rideology’ app and can be used to receive notifications and navigation alerts.
  • The electronics suite gets two power modes, three riding modes, three levels of traction control and dual-channel ABS. Talking about the price of the 2024 Kawasaki Z900, it has been introduced at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.29 lakh.
  • The on-road price of Kawasaki in Mumbai is Rs 12.72 lakh. In the Indian market, it competes with bikes like the Triumph Street Triple R. However, despite its simple feature set and slightly higher on-road price, the powerful engine of the Kawasaki Z900 makes it a good option.
