President Murmu To Appoint New Lok Sabha Speaker

The likely government's five-year plan is expected to be the focus of her speech. The first meeting of new MPs typically results in the election of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. An MP who has the most experience is chosen to serve as interim Speaker of the House until a new speaker is elected. The pro-tem Speaker conducts the vote for the new Speaker and deputy Speaker and presides over the first few sessions of the Lok Sabha.

The Government Has Not Yet Announced The Name Of Candidate

The government has not yet named a candidate for the Lok Sabha speaker position. However, opposition parties are urging JD(U) and TDP, allies of the NDA, to submit candidates for the position.

AAP Urges To Make Sure Speaker Is From TDP or JDU

Ashok Gehlot, a Congress leader and former chief minister of Rajasthan, also stated that NDA partners TDP and JD(U) should be prepared to witness horse-trading of their MPs if the Lok Sabha Speaker position is retained by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
