Motorola Razr 50: Motorola has launched its new foldable series of smartphones in the market. Moto Razr 50 and Moto Razr 50 Ultra have been launched in China on Tuesday. both these devices are the company’s latest clamshell-style foldable smartphones, in which you get an aluminum frame.

Talking about the features, they have a 6.9-inch inner screen. The Moto Razr 50 Ultra has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the Moto Razr 50 has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor. Both models run on Android 14 with Hello UI and have a 50-megapixel main camera. Let’s know about it.

  • The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra features a larger cover screen with slimmer bezels than its predecessor, which is likely to offer a better experience in terms of quickly viewing content on an external screen. The pOLED panel has a 1080p resolution, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and HDR10+ support.
  • The refresh rate of the display adjusts between 1Hz-165Hz. When the flip is in the folded state, you will be able to watch videos, check navigation details, check them while taking selfies, and do other things on the external screen.
  • When opened, you get a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED screen, which is larger than what traditional phones offer users. The screen inside has a better 120 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The refresh rate is the same as the cover screen.
  • The panel inside has a 360Hz touch sampling rate and 3000 units of peak brightness. There is also a 32-megapixel sensor on the front.
  • The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra has received a major upgrade in terms of camera. The new version has a 50-megapixel f/1.7 main camera and a 50-megapixel f/2.0 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom.
  • Under the hood, there is a 4,000mAh battery, which is slightly bigger than the 3,800mAh battery seen on the previous version.
  • There is support for a faster 45W fast charging technology, up from the 30W wired charging on the Razr 40 Ultra model. Motorola has also provided support for 15W wireless charging.
  • The device is IPX8 water-resistant, which was not the case on the older version. It is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

The standard Razr 50 sports a 3.6-inch pOLED cover display and a 6.9-inch insider screen that operates at Full HD+ resolution and 3,000nits of peak brightness. It has a 32-megapixel selfie camera and the rear panel has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS support.

A 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera accompanies this. The MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor powers it and packs a 4,200mAh battery with support for 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is priced at CNY 5,699, which is roughly Rs 65,470. The standard Razr 50 will be priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 42,496).
