Every game has rules and regulations to be followed by each player irrespective of their gender, race, and religion. And breaching them attracts huge penalties but Norway’s beach handball team is getting huge support for breaching rules at European Championship 2021.
Few users on Twitter are even ready to donate the amount of fine to players.

EHF Fined $1764 On Norway’s Women Beach Handball Players
The governing body for the handball game, European Handball Federation, has fined each player during the women’s championship 2021. It happened during the final bronze medal match between Norway and Spain in which the latter won the championship.
The women team from Norway played the match in shorts for which they are asked to pay 150 Euros each. According to the Athlete Uniform Regulations, female players should wear bikini bottoms with a side of 3.9 inches, a close fit, and have an upward cut towards the leg.

Norway’s Sports Minister And NHF Came In Support Of Beach Handball Team
On the other hand, Norway’s Handball Federation praised girls for raising their voices and opting for clothes of their choice. “ It should be a free choice within a standardized framework,” said Kare Geir Lio, Head of NHF.
Furthermore, the federation said that players should have comfortable equipment. Norwegian players took a step forward to challenge such sexist rules and we are at their back to supper them said NHF.
The decision to fine players for playing in shorts was opposed by the sports minister Abid Raja. He called it “ completely ridiculous.”

Male athletes’ shorts: must remain 10 cm above knee, but can be longer.
Female athletes’ bikini bottoms: side width max 10 cm.I guess #GenderEquality in #beachhandball would be #AllMenInSpeedos or #WomenAllowedShorts

Though the breaching of rules is definitely wrong, the issue of improper clothing is also a serious topic of debate, particularly in games.
