Party president Mallikarjun Kharge said on Monday that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will keep his seat in the Lok Sabha for Rae Bareli and give up his seat in the Wayanad seat so that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra can run for it.
Rahul Gandhi must vacate one of the Lok Sabha seats within 14 days of the election result, having contested and won from Rae Bareli and Wayanad.

“Party has concluded that Rahul Gandhi ought to hold Rae Bareli seat since it is near the family,” Kharge said in the wake of having conversations with senior party pioneers at his home.
