Stree is back to strike fear in your hearts again. The makers of Stree released the much-awaited teaser of its much-awaited sequel Stree 2 on Tuesday morning and it is exactly what we expected. The few-second teaser shows Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee reprising their roles as residents of Chanderi, where an evil force called Stree terrorizes men. Shraddha Kapoor, whose identity remained a mystery in Stree, joins the thrill in this sequel as well. Rajkummar Rao shared the teaser on his social handle.

The end of ‘Stree’ shows that Shraddha Kapoor, along with Rajkummar Rao, chases away the ghost Stree of Chanderi and leaves. But the Shikha of the ghost, which contains her powers, is seen with Shraddha. The makers shared the teaser on Instagram and wrote, ‘This time there will be terror in Chanderi on Independence Day’.
The teaser of ‘Stree 2’ begins with Shraddha’s arrival. A hand is crossing out the words ‘O Stree Kal Aana’ written for safety in front of the houses in black and the ghostly terror has returned to Chanderi.

Tamannaah Bhatia is also seen in a song in the teaser of ‘Stree 2’ and she too seems scared of the terror of Stree. Seeing the teaser, it seems that this time there is going to be more terror than comedy in the story. However, almost all the main characters of the first film’s cast are also seen in the teaser of ‘Stree 2’. Perhaps the makers have planned to keep more comedy scenes in the trailer.
Stree 2 is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. It is a part of the producer’s horror-comedy universe which includes films like Stree, Roohi and Bhediya. Stree was released in 2018. Stree 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
