Tata Motors has launched the new Altroz Racer in India, which starts from Rs 9.49 lakh to Rs 10.99 lakh (early, ex-showroom). The new Tata Ultrose Racer Turbo is a more performance-oriented version based on petrol.
Altroz Racer’s delivery details
To further increase its appeal, the company has upgraded sporty esthetic. Booking of Ultrose racer has started on a token of Rs 21,000. In addition to the Altrose Racer, Tata has also updated selected variants of Standard Ultrose with more features.

Design update
The cosmetic upgrade made at the Tata Ultrose Racer includes black-out bonnet and roof for dual-tone paint scheme. The car has a white strip on the bonnet, roof and boot. In the new version, a new alloy wheel will also get a ‘racer’ badge for sporty treatment. Ultrose racer is available in three dual -tone colors – Atomic Orange, Avenue White and Pure Gray.
Tata Altroz Racer’s features and interior
The cabin has a black-out presence with orange highlights, contrast stitching and black lady’s upholstery with twin strips. The dashboard remains the same, but the model contains features such as electric sunroof, digital instrument console, ventilated front seats, cruise control and 360-degree camera. The Tata Ultrose Racer will mainly compete with Hyundai i20 N Line in the segment.
Engine and specification
The biggest update in the Tata Altroz racer is its new 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, which is taken from Tata Nexon. This motor gives 118 bhp and peak torque of 170 Nm, which is combined with only 6-speed manual transmission. It does not have an automatic gearbox option available. Tata also says that the model has a sporty exhaust note compared to the standard variants.
